Founding expert network

Your expertise should create more opportunity.

DamagePilot is building a network where experienced damage professionals can access flexible, well-organized assignments matched to their skills, tools, jurisdiction and availability.

Founding-stage pilot. No guaranteed assignment volume. Experts remain free to accept or decline work.

Built around professional independence.

The goal is simple: give skilled people access to worthwhile work without forcing them into a traditional employment model.

How expert work should flow

A case arrives organized. You decide whether it fits.

DamagePilot is being designed so professionals spend more time applying expertise and less time chasing missing information.

1

Receive a qualified opportunity

See the category, requested service, location or jurisdiction, available evidence, expected turnaround and proposed payout before accepting.

2

Accept, decline or request more

You stay in control. Legitimate declines should not count against you, and evidence gaps can be returned as structured requests.

3

Complete the professional work

Use the tools and professional judgement appropriate to your field, then return the agreed deliverable through DamagePilot.

What we want to get right

A marketplace good professionals actually want to work through.

DamagePilot should create valuable work — not turn expertise into a race to the bottom.

Transparent economics

Know the assignment scope and payout before you accept. No mystery deductions or hidden workload.

Better evidence

Structured intake and guided evidence collection should reduce preventable back-and-forth.

Reputation that reflects skill

Quality should mean more than a star rating: reliability, revision rate, category expertise and case outcomes matter.

Who we are looking for first

Experienced professionals who can work independently.

We are beginning with automotive collision expertise, while collecting interest across additional damage categories.

Strong early fit

  • Collision estimators and auto damage appraisers
  • Restoration / property estimators
  • Roofing and storm-damage specialists
  • RV / trailer damage professionals
  • Marine survey / damage specialists
  • Heavy equipment and machinery experts
  • Other experienced damage-domain professionals

What matters to us

  • Relevant real-world experience
  • Current access to appropriate professional systems where the assignment requires them
  • Ability to identify when remote evidence is insufficient
  • Reliable communication and turnaround
  • Respect for licensing, credential and jurisdiction boundaries
  • Willingness to help improve an early workflow

Collision estimators: you are our first active expert group.

For early automotive assignments, we are especially interested in professionals who already have legitimate access to CCC ONE, Mitchell, Audatex/Qapter or another appropriate estimating platform.

Tell us what you know how to do.

Joining the founding network is not an employment application. It tells us where qualified supply exists and which professionals may be a fit for early paid assignments.

Founding-stage reality: assignment volume is not guaranteed. The first experts will also help us learn what makes a case worth accepting, what evidence is required and what fair payouts look like.
We will use this information to evaluate fit for the early network and to understand expert supply by category and jurisdiction.
Questions experts may have

Founding-stage FAQ

Is this employment?

No. The current model is being designed around independent professionals who choose availability and may accept or decline assignments. Final marketplace terms and jurisdiction-specific requirements will be established before broader paid scale.

Do I need my own professional software?

For early assignments that require professional estimating software, yes. In automotive, that may mean current legitimate access to CCC ONE, Mitchell, Audatex/Qapter or another appropriate system. This may evolve later.

How much work will be available?

We do not know yet, and we will not pretend otherwise. DamagePilot is in its founding stage. Early expert signups help us understand supply while customer demand is being validated.

Can I turn down a job?

That is the intended model. Experts should be able to decline work that does not fit their experience, availability, price, jurisdiction or evidence requirements.

Will DamagePilot tell me how to make professional decisions?

No. DamagePilot organizes the case and marketplace workflow. Professional judgement remains with the qualified professional performing the service.

What damage categories are planned?

Automotive is first to active fulfillment. We are also collecting expert and customer interest in property/restoration, roof/storm, RV/trailer, marine, heavy equipment and other damage categories.
